2478_detroit_skyline.jpgSituated in the heart of downtown overlooking the Detroit River, the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center will serve as the convention center and host hotel for the MTA Conference & Expo.

 

Access Detroit's Renaissance Center via:

 

Automobile. Valet park and enter the hotel motor lobby on W. Renaissance Drive. Directions to Detroit can be found here.

 

MTA Shuttle. Park in the Beaubien Place Garage, Port Atwater Garage or GM Surface Lot, and use the complimentary shuttle to the Renaissance Center. Shuttles run approximately every 15 minutes, Tuesday through Friday. Attendees may also elect to walk from either the Beaubien Place Garage or Port Atwater Garage, which are connected to the Renaissance Center via a skywalk, or from the GM Surface Lot, which is located nearby along the riverwalk.

 

Charter Bus. Several MTA County Chapter groups are arranging for charter buses to bring township officials and their guests to the Conference. For more information, contact:

  • U.P. Bus: Jean Howe of Michigamme Township (Marquette Co.), at (906) 323-6608 or email michigammetownship@gmail.com, or Bill Luetzow of Richmond Township (Marquette Co.) at (906) 475-4180. IMPORTANT: To ensure your seat on the bus, contact Jean or Bill by no later than Nov. 1.
  • Kent County/Greater Grand Rapids Area Bus: Jim Stover, MTA District 15 Director, at (616) 726-8892 or email stoverj@plainfieldchartertwp.org.
