The Michigan Township Participating Plan was formed in April of 1985 under Public Act 138 by township officials to provide a stable market for the insurance needs of governmental entities. The Par-Plan is a unique and proven, member-driven system that has effectively provided affordable, tailored property and casualty coverages to Michigan public entities for many years. Since the plan was formed, it has grown in membership each year and has over 1,500 members today.
