The brownfield redevelopment process identifies funding participants and sources to clean up and redevelop properties that are unused due to environmental contamination or hazardous materials left by previous uses.
A brownfield site may be a facility as defined by Part 201 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act or it may be a site located in a Qualified Local Governmental Unit or owned by a Land Bank that is a blighted or functionally obsolete facility.
