Does this sound familiar? You’ve just arrived at an MTA workshop, and start talking with the other attendees. Then you realize that one of the attendees with whom you’re speaking is from the same county as you are—in fact, your townships are practically next-door neighbors. If only you’d known ahead of time, maybe you could have driven together!
With gas prices rising, sharing a ride with a fellow township official is an economical way to travel—plus, you’ll have a chance to network with your peers. And MTA has a way to help you organize a carpool!
To see who is registered for an upcoming MTA workshop, look under “Training,” and select “Educational Workshops.” When you click on “Register Now” you’ll see a list of all upcoming events. Click on the workshop you are attending and scroll down to the bottom of the workshop description to access a link to the list of attendees. Use your 2005-2006 Michigan Township Officials Directory for contact information, and take it from there!
Questions? Just call the Education Center at (517) 321-6467.
