The City of Brighton is seeking a qualified applicant for a full-time Executive Assistant to the Finance Department. This is an exempt position reporting directly to the Finance Director. Duties & responsibilities including a variety of tasks relating to all aspects of the finance department with an emphasis of work relating to the assessment and appraisal of property for taxation purposes.
Necessary qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, business or public administration, or a related field is required. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles/governmental accounting principles and practices and the ability to apply them accurately. Ability to obtain Michigan Certified Assessing Technician Certificate.
