Emergency Medical Services

Medics [Click here to view full size picture]
Many township governments offer emergency medical services in their communities.

Some townships own an EMS or ambulance service, and other townships purchase services from an adjoining community or private contractor.

A number of local governments merge resources and jointly operate an EMS service.

In more rural areas, fire and police personnel are often cross-trained as paramedics to provide local medical services.
