Tips for bringing your township flag to Conference

If you plan on bringing your township or MTA county chapter flag to MTA's Annual Conference and participating in the Parade of Flags, follow the following tips:

  • Either fold your flag neatly or wrap it securely around the flagpole before transporting. This will help prevent your flag from wrinkling or getting dirty on the way to Conference.
  • Don't let your flag drag on the ground either when setting it up for display or when carrying it in the parade. This not only soils the flag, but is also a sign of disrespect.
  • During the parade, remember to lower the top of your pole when going through doorways. Also, keep a distance of several feet from the person in front of you.
