- Past Chair of the Washtenaw United Way, and the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Urban Area Transportation Group
- Served on the Ypsilanti Area Chamber of Commerce, Washtenaw County Chapter of the Michigan Townships Association, the Washtenaw Development Council, the Accommodations Ordinance Commission
- Past Ypsilanti Township delegate to the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG)
