As a local leader, you have a duty to each present and future citizen of your community to ensure a brighter tomorrow.  America’s Town Meeting can be a valuable resource in your fulfillment of that responsibility.

This annual conference allows town and township officials from across the nation to network, attend educational sessions on current issues and meet with lawmakers to discuss the issues of importance to local government.

Be the voice on matters that affect local government such as:

* Telecommunications Expansion

* Rural Development, Energy and Conservation

* Federal Support for Local Infrastructure

* Tax Benefits for Volunteer First Responders

* Ensuring Accurate 2010 Census Counts

* Tax Relief for Public Service Volunteers

* Fair Allocation Policies to Towns and Townships

* Streamlining Grant Procedures (Dept. of Homeland Security)

Mark your calendars now for September 30 and October 1 to attend the 2008 National Association of Towns and Townships Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. to be held at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.
