Cemetery Flags and Flag Holders
The Markers for Veterans' Graves Act, Public Act 63 of 1915, MCL 35.831, et seq., requires a township board, upon the petition of 5 eligible voters of the township, to procure and furnish to the petitioners, at the expense of the township, a suitable flag holder and United States flag for the grave of each veteran who served in the armed forces of the United States and who is buried within the limits of a cemetery belonging to the township.
Upon the petition of 5 eligible voters of the township, a township board may procure and furnish to the petitioners, at the expense of the township, a suitable flag holder and United States flag for the grave of each veteran who served in the armed forces of the United States and who is buried in any cemetery located within the limits of the township that does not belong to that township.
Disabled Veteran's Specially Adapted Housing Property Tax Exemption
Under the General Property Tax Act, Public Act 206 of 1893, MCL 211.7b, real estate used and owned as a homestead by a soldier or sailor who was discharged under honorable conditions with a service connected disability, and who has a certificate from the United States veterans' administration, or its successors, certifying the soldier or sailor is receiving or has received pecuniary assistance due to disability for specially adapted housing, shall be exempt from taxation.

Discounted Rental Fees or Deposits on Township Facilities
The Leasing of Public Buildings Act, Public Act 79 of 1889, MCL 35.491, authorizes a township to lease any public township building or part of a township building to any post of any organized veterans' organization established in the township for up to 5 years at a nominal rent to be fixed by the township board.
Veteran's Memorials and Buildings
The Monumental Buildings Act, Public Act 130 of 1889, MCL 35.851, et seq., authorizes townships individually or with other local units to construct veteran's memorials or monumental buildings (i.e., a "War Memorial" hall or stadium)
The Joint Public Buildings Act, Public Act 150 of 1923, MCL 123.921, et seq., authorizes townships individually or with other local units to house their offices in a building that also includes a memorial hall for war veterans and for public assemblies.
License to Sell Goods
Public Act 359 of 1921 provides for the issuance of veterans' licenses without cost to sell their own goods within Michigan.
