First, a little about us. MTA was established more than 65 years ago to provide a unified voice for Michigan townships. The Association's dedicated board of directors and staff are committed to helping our 6,500 member township officials govern their townships effectively and improve the services they provide to Michigan's five million-plus township residents.

MTA, like no one else, speaks your language, knows your history, and values you as an essential part of the form of local government closest to the people. We celebrate your successes, and share your story. Our programs and services are tailored specifically with only townships in mind--offering targeted news, updates and information to help township officials serve their communities with purpose and pride.
