Your help is paramount to a successful Conference!
The 2020 MTA Annual Educational Conference & Expo, coming April 27-30 to the Grand Traverse Resort in Acme Township, is the premier event of the year for township officials, but it wouldn't be such a success without the help of dozens of dedicated volunteers.
Each year MTA seeks township officials to serve as sergeant-at-arms (SAA), Conference ambassadors, Ticket Xchange and Registration volunteers during the Conference. All MTA members registered for Conference are eligible to participate. SAA duties include distributing/collecting handouts and evaluations at educational sessions, as well as monitoring the classroom and reporting any issues (seating, audio visual problems or other speaker needs) to MTA staff. Conference ambassadors are the welcoming face of the Conference, and help direct attendees to registration or other key areas during peak arrival times. At the Ticket Xchange, volunteers will work alongside MTA staff to collect banquet tickets and exchange for reserved tables for the MTA Banquet. Registration helpers assist staff in distributing attendee and guest bags/materials at the MTA Registration Center during peak hours.
